Animal welfare charity Wild At Heart Foundation has partnered with award-‐winning makers of proper food for pets, Lily’s Kitchen and Fetch.co.uk, the online pet store from Ocado, to deliver a meat free partnership for a super healthy way to introduce a vegetarian friendly recipe into your dog’s diet once or twice a week, while raising funds and awareness for the Foundation’s ongoing work to support global animal welfare.
Buy a tin of Lily’s Kitchen Wholesome Veggie Feast from Fetch.co.uk, and from 1st April 2017 for three months, Lily’s Kitchen will donate 50p on your behalf to the Wild at Heart Foundation, to support their rehome, neuter and education programmes.
Talking of the partnership, co-‐founder of WildatHeartFoundation.org, Nikki Tibbles says “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Lily’s Kitchen and Fetch.co.uk who have been integral to the success of this initiative. Working to introduce a regular meat free option to your family pets diet is also a fantastic opportunity to support the wider welfare of animals globally.”
Each tin of Lily’s Kitchen Wholesome Veggie Feast provides a complete, balanced and varied protein and calcium source in the form of egg, lentils, cottage cheese and the super-‐food amaranth, an ancient grain rich in protein. Packed with carrots, parsnips, pumpkin, broccoli and apple the recipe also provides a wide range of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Priced at £2.49 per tin, 50p will be donated directly by Lily’s Kitchen to the Wild at Heart Foundation to support their ongoing rehome, neuter and education programmes. This is the first time that the online pet store Fetch.co.uk from Ocado has partnered with a charity to support the global welfare of dogs, and together with Wild At Heart Foundation and Lily’s Kitchen they aim to drive awareness and vital funds for such a worthwhile cause.
Henrietta Morrison, founder of Lily’s Kitchen says “Using business as a force for good is part of our mantra at Lily’s Kitchen so we’re proud as punch to partner with the Wild at Heart Foundation and Fetch.co.uk . Each time a pet parent buys a Lily’s Kitchen Wholesome Veggie Feast, they can rest assured that not only are they feeding a natural and nutritious meat free meal to their beloved dogs, but they are helping other dogs in need. Pets are family and we couldn’t be more pleased to support Nikki and the team doing hugely important and vital work.”
Rebecca Mehaffey, Web Trading Manager for Fetch.co.uk says “Searches for vegetarian dog food were up 67% YOY in 2016, showing that dog owners are interested in exploring a more omnivore diet for their pets. We’re so excited to be helping stray dogs find forever homes in partnership with Lily’s Kitchen and Wild at Heart Foundation”.
