Fancy getting the keys to a four-bedroom Islington townhouse – plus £100,000 cash?
That’s the prize on offer in the latest Omaze Million Pound House Draw, as part of a competition to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
The house comes mortgage free with all stamp duty and legal fees covered – and the winner can either live in the house, rent it out or sell it. If the winner decides to rent it out, local estate agents estimate that the property could achieve a rental value of up to £7,000 a month.
The three-storey city townhouse includes a large, open living space arranged over the entire ground floor, with a reception room featuring oak flooring, period features and an open fireplace standing as a centrepiece to the room.
The living space leads into an airy kitchen – featuring a marble centre island and marble-topped work surfaces – complete with top-of-the-range appliances.
Upstairs, four bedrooms are arranged over two upper floors, with the main bedroom and en-suite occupying much of the first floor. There is a further en-suite bedroom on this level with a mezzanine, together with two further double bedrooms on the top floor.
As well as making its grand prize winner a multi-millionaire – the prize draw will also support the BHF, as the money raised will help the charity fund ground-breaking research on heart and circulatory diseases. With 7.6 million people living with these conditions in the UK, the BHF’s research aims to find new cures and treatments to help save and improve more lives.
The draw is being backed by former French international footballer and Tottenham Hotspur star, David Ginola – who back in 2016 suffered a cardiac arrest on a football pitch and was given CPR for 9 minutes, he went on to have a successful quadruple heart bypass. Ginola said: “I’ve experienced the devastating consequences of heart disease first-hand, the money raised through Omaze’s innovative approach to fundraising will help the BHF continue its truly lifesaving research.
“The partnership between BHF and Omaze is truly magnificent, it’s raising vital funds and awareness for a charity that’s incredibly important to me – and millions of others who are impacted by heart and circulatory diseases.
“Everyone who enters the prize draw is contributing towards this crucial cause – and of course, someone is guaranteed to win the dream home in North London too – even if it’s a little too close to Arsenal for my liking!”
Dr Charmaine Griffiths, Chief Executive at the BHF, added: “We are absolutely delighted to join forces with Omaze once again. Despite phenomenal progress in research over the last 60 years, heart and circulatory diseases – including heart attack, and stroke – kill one in four people in the UK and are the world’s biggest killers.
“The money raised will help British Heart Foundation to fund more research to save and improve the lives of all of those affected by heart and circulatory diseases in the UK.”
