Bargain retailer Poundland has released a range of low-cost school uniforms to help parents kit out their kids ready for the new term.
The back-to-school range begins at just £1 for polo tops, with skirts and trousers ranging from £3 to £5 depending on size.
The uniform deals are sized from three years old right through to age 16 and are available from the Pep & Co range in Poundland stores and online. Just make sure you factor in delivery costs if you order online – this could vary depending on where you live.
Poundland School Uniform Range
- White Polo Shirts – £1 – £2 depending on size (some stores have more colours available)
- Sweatshirts – £2 to £4 depending on size
- School Skirts – £3 to £5 depending on size
- School Trousers – £3 to £5 depending on size
Parents, who may be struggling to purchase school uniforms in the wake of the cost of living crisis, have welcomed the move by Poundland and have taken to social media to praise the bargain back-to-school range.
One mum, who bought her daughter a school dress at Poundland, posted an image of the dress with the caption: “These are £3.50 and come with a scrunchie! From Pep & Co in some Poundland’s.
“They wash up lovely and are really good quality.”
Another happy school uniform shopper commented: “I’ve got loads of bits for the whole family – washes nice and lasts!”
Poundland is not the only retailer offering discounted school uniforms this summer. Lidl is helping parents prepare for September with a pack of two polo shirts for £1.75, jumpers for £1.75 and cardigans for just £2.99. Lidl’s offers are currently in-store only.
Rival budget supermarket Aldi also has a back-to-school bundle with sweatshirts from £1.50 and trousers and skirts for £1.75 – but bargain hunters are urged to be quick, as the deal is an ‘Aldi Specialbuy’ and is expected to fly off the shelves fast.
Morrisons shoppers can order online as well as head to the supermarket for school uniforms, with deals including a two pack of cardigans for £8, skirts for £4 and a pack of two charcoal trousers for £9.
