Having received the thumbs up for our behind the scenes article with knitwear designer Flora from Collingwood-Norris, we thought it would be good to share with you another independent designer, creating beautifully handmade items for a discerning audience.
Launched in the summer of 2005, luxury lingerie label Ayten Gasson has become recognised in the UK not only for its beautiful collections, but also for its firm commitment in supporting the UK fashion industry…
Ayten Gasson had evolved from selling to some of the biggest department stores and boutiques in the world, to becoming an online retail only business. In May 2016 they opened their first boutique in the Seven Dials area of Brighton stocking a range of gifts from a variety of independent UK businesses that share the same ethos and business ideals, alongside the luxury silk lingerie they have become well known for. Their collections are handcrafted from luxurious silks and trimmed with English lace from some of the UK’s most renowned lace manufacturers. Organic silk and cruelty free Peace silk regularly feature in the collections. With a greater interaction with their customers they now have an increased bespoke lingerie service where they cater their designs on an individual basis. As each piece is handmade by their small team on the shop floor.
Since opening their boutique the business has gone from strength to strength, regularly receiving glowing tributes and five star reviews from customers. Ayten Gasson were also extremely proud to be named Best Lingerie Label in the 2017 Eluxe Awards. The accolade, which was organised in conjunction with this year’s Green Fashion Week, honoured excellence in the sustainable luxury market. They were especially happy as Eluxe celebrates ethical luxury and honours brands they believe run their businesses in a responsible manner while still retaining a stylish edge.
