London fashion week has come and gone in a haze of sore feet pouring rain and endless days and nights of fashion talk and fabulous outfits.
I was there from beginning to end filming and interviewing and fashionista from the world over.
Day one started in the pouring rain with an 8am call time to be at Somerset house for the Bora Aksu show, running late I only just managed to take my seat.
The standard was very much set for the next five days by the Turkish designer.
Whites and yellow were heavily prominent in the collection a theme that we then saw for the rest of the week.
Beautiful feminine ruffles gave a nod to his Turkish heritage and allowed our minds for a moment to drift from the looming winter rain and to hotter climates.
His inspiration for SS14 “started with the beauty that comes from a fresh summer’s morning; that clear blue sky, whispering clouds, clear still waters and refreshing scents.”
Lasting a matter of ten minutes we were out in the cold and interviewing the masses of people who now descend on Somerset House- not to watch the shows but to be photographed
It’s a fascinating place to be and there is nothing quite like it. TV crews on mass photographers, bloggers and fashionista line Somerset House in a wash of style.
