Coca-Cola Christmas Truck to Support FareShare charity on UK tour

Coca-Cola has confirmed that its popular Christmas Truck Tour will be back this year, with an initiative to help struggling families.

This year, the anticipated tour is set to put the spotlight on the local community, supporting FareShare, a charity fighting hunger and food waste.

Every visit to the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck will count towards supporting those experiencing food poverty. With the theme of ‘Your Presence is Your Present’, Coca‑Cola GB will fund the meals for people in need.

Kickstarting the initiative, the equivalent of 100,000 meals have already been donated to FareShare by Coca‑Cola Europacific Partners, with the aim of funding up to 200,000 meals.

After the 2020 tour was shelved due to the Covid-19 pandemic the festive truck returned to UK towns and cities in 2021. The truck stopped at several places across the UK including Gateshead, Glasgow, Manchester, and Cardiff.

Now the drinks giant has announced it will be heading across the country once again ahead of Christmas, though no dates or tour stops have yet been revealed for 2022.

The tour is set to be its biggest yet, encouraging visitors to take seasonal selfies next to the iconic red truck, and the addition of a magical ‘winter market’ with fun activities for all the family to get involved in.

The market will include ‘elfie selfie’ shots and QR codes that access a host of interactive games, alongside food huts that will deliver delicious festive feasts. Visitors will also have the chance to buy Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar and Coca‑Cola Original Taste and have them personalised with their names or short phrase.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck will also make its familiar festive appearance on TV screens later this month, with the first airing of the ‘Holidays Are Coming’ advert.

Laura Moon, senior brand manager at the Coca-Cola Company, Great Britain, said: “Coca‑Cola has always been synonymous with Christmas, particularly the iconic Truck Tour and Holidays Are Coming advert.

This year, the magic of Christmas is needed more than ever, and we are excited to bring back our famous truck tour to fans nationwide.”
