High street bakery Greggs is celebrating the run-up to Christmas by giving away 50,000 free festive bakes and vegan festive bakes.
The free bakes are available throughout December and are the ideal Christmas treat for hungry pastry fans. The offer launched last week and has already proven popular after Greggs fans were originally disappointed after the chain announced the bakes would arrive in stores later than expected this year.
It seems that the festive freebies are set to make up for the delayed launch – and to claim your bake, you just need to download the Greggs app from the Google Play or Apple store to your mobile phone.

The deal is available to new customers who have downloaded the app – and each customer will be able to claim one festive bake on their new account.

New customers will receive a code to their phone which can then be shown to a Greggs team member in store, who will scan the code to allow you to claim your treat.
The offer is running until December 31 (or until all 50,000 bakes have been claimed), so if you’re feeling peckish – download the app quickly so you don’t miss out.
The festive bake is filled with pieces of cooked chicken, sage and onion stuffing and cooked sweetcure bacon, with a sage and cranberry sauce. Meanwhile, the vegan festive bake follows a similar recipe, but it’s instead filled with Quorn mycoprotein pieces, sage and onion stuffing balls and vegan bacon crumb.
Customers who download the app will also benefit from the ongoing offer of a free hot drink – including the mint mocha, mint hot chocolate or salted caramel latte from the Greggs festive drinks menu.
